About Us
YogiBeing is an initiative by Isha Hatha Yoga teachers. We offer Classical Hatha Yoga in its purest form without any distortion and modification.
All the teachers have undergone 1750+ hours of intense training in Classical Hatha Yoga, devised by Sadhguru and are certified from Isha Hatha School of Yoga, Isha Yoga Centre, Coimbatore.
The teachers are trained to impart Hatha Yoga in its full depth and dimensions and are ready to give themselves for the process completely.
Does yoga require the help of an instructor or can it be self-taught?
Sadhguru:
Let us say you are seeking to go to a distant city. If you are alone and there are no proper directions, definitely you would wish for a map. It is not that you cannot do it yourself, but we do not know how long it will take.
On an uncharted path, if you go without a map, you may take lifetimes to get there. If you go with a map, you will cross easily. If you go with a good bus driver, you will cross very easily; that is the difference. When you want to walk uncharted terrain, it is intelligent to choose a person who has already walked the terrain.
YOGIBEING
A human is not a being, he is a becoming, he is an ongoing process – nothing is fixed. You can be whichever way you want to be. The source of creation is active in every creature on the planet, Sadhguru says, but in human beings, there is a possibility present in no other creature.
To be a yogi means to live without the coffins that people build around themselves. Yoga means union. It means you have breached the boundaries of the physical and have the ability to touch and experience everything in the universe.
Physically traveling around and touching the entire universe is out of question. The only way to touch everything and know life in all its dimensions is to transcend the limitations of physicality.
Hatha Yoga is a tremendous possibility if it is practiced and transmitted in its right sense. Right now, hatha Yoga is widely perceived as an exercise form. Hatha Yoga is not about losing weight, fixing your back, or getting healthy. Those are consequences, not the purpose. The process of Hatha Yoga is designed to allow you at least a few moments of breaching the boundaries of the physical and transcending its compulsive, cyclical nature.
Bending and twisting your body has its benefits for your physical health, but there is much more to being a yogi. Some sense of being a little more than the physical body is the important thing. Even if you are not like that 24 hours of the day, at least a few moments in a day you should be a yogi.
If you keep it alive, things that you do not understand, things that you have never experienced, will happen to you. That means you are allowing another dimension to function.
We at YogiBeing would like to offer ourselves to fulfill our Guru’s will to bring an element of being a yogi into everyone’s lives.
